Get Started with Norsk Studio

Getting started with Norsk Studio is straightforward, with just a few prerequisites:

  • If you're on Linux, you'll need Docker Compose V2. If you're on Mac or Windows, you'll need Docker Desktop.
  • You'll need a license file, which you can request here. Make a note of where it's downloaded; you'll need to access it in the next step. It allows running Norsk for 20 minutes at a time. It will expire in 3 months, but you are welcome to renew it as you need.

Once you have both of those, launch a shell. If you are using Docker Desktop, the "terminal" button in the bottom right of the app is a good option. If you're on Linux, you probably already know how to launch a shell. 😉

Then just enter:

bash <(curl -L https://norsk.video/studio/install)

Docker will download Norsk Studio, a total of about 7GB. Then follow the instructions from the installer.
