Norsk Joins DASH Industry Forum

Norsk is now a DASH-IF contributing member!

We’re proud to announce that Norsk is now an associate member of the DASH Industry Forum (DASH-IF), an industry consortium committed to the advancement of the MPEG-DASH streaming format. DASH is central to the future of video in a fragmented technology market, especially with the standardization on CMAF for various chunked outputs, and we look forward to keeping abreast of the latest capabilities as DASH evolves.

“We come to DASH-IF as realist practitioners and are keen to bring that real-world experience to help steer DASH’s journey,” says Norsk CTO Steve Strong. “Norsk makes building even the most complex live media workflow straightforward, including digital rights management, HDR, multiple codecs, and multiple audio outputs. DASH plays a key role in Norsk’s ability to deliver this content to a wide range of devices and players.”

Norsk is also a sponsor of the DASH-IF Networking Reception at IBC. The event has become a venerable staple of the annual conference in Amsterdam, and a veritable who’s who of leading technology practitioners in the streaming video market. Drop us a note if you’re interested in joining, or book a meeting with us—we’ll be at IBC for the duration.
